They basically don't need to happen!

9. The Equalizer 2

Plot unknown. A sequel to the the 2014 film, "The Equalizer", which is based on the TV series about a retired agent who's a hired gun for vengeance.

But wait, what is The Equalizer 1?

10. Daddy's Home 2

Father and stepfather Dusty and Brad join forces to make Christmastime perfect for the children. Their newfound partnership soon gets put to the test when Dusty's old-school, macho dad and Brad's gentle father arrive to turn the holiday upside down.

Are you positive the sequel will be better than the original which offers us a whole one genuine laugh in 96 minutes?

11. Now You See Me 3

Lionsgate CEO Jon Feltheimer announced that they had indeed "already begun early planning" for Now You See Me 3.

Our heads are still being scratched abound the unlooked-for second outing for Jesse Eisenberg's magical mavericks...

12. Pacific Rim: Uprising

Pacific Rim: Uprising is the upcoming sequel to the 2013 science-fiction film, Pacific Rim, directed by Steven S. DeKnight.

Success in China has mandated a sequel, but even the addition of the lovely John Boyega can't get us excited.

13. Top Gun 2

Tom Cruise has confirmed rumours that a sequel to 1986 classic Top Gun is in the works, with filming to begin “probably in the next year”.

The original is pure distilled '80s, so we can't help but wonder what a 21st century sequel could possibly offer.

14. Jeepers Creepers 3

Set between the first and second film, Sgt Davis Tubbs assembles a task force to destroy the Creeper once and for all while growing closer than ever before to learning the secrets of its dark origins, as the monster terrorizes a local farming community.

Given the success of the original film as well as the return of controversial director Victor Salva, what do you think about the sequel?

15. A Bad Moms Christmas

Under-appreciated and overburdened moms Amy, Kiki and Carla rebel against the challenges and expectations of the Super Bowl for moms: Christmas. As if creating the perfect holiday for their families isn't hard enough, they'll have to do it while hosting and entertaining their own respective mothers when they come to visit.

Not everything needs to be turned into a franchise recycling jokes again and again until it doesn't make us laugh.

16. Bumblebee

On the run in the year 1987, Bumblebee finds refuge in a junkyard in a small Californian beach town. Charlie, on the cusp of turning 18 and trying to find her place in the world, discovers Bumblebee, battle-scarred and broken.

The Last Knight is the least profitable instalment by over $100 million. It doesn't sound like the perfect time for a Bumblebee spin-off.
